Hi, this is the author speaking. I’m a 24 year old Neo-Pagan girl, who’s currently studying archaeology at Australia’s University of Sydney. I’m interested in vegan (and gluten-free) cooking politics (especially gender equality) and scientific research, studies of religion, and a whole miscellany of things. Religion – especially NeoPaganism – is my passion, and it shows in the direction of a lot of my posts; I’m especially interested in investigating the origins of the contemporary Wiccan movement.
I also believe in “being the change you wish to see”, so I deal fairly frequently with issues of animal rights, human rights, gender equality (and inequality), and other causes that I believe are worth my support.
As far as my religious beliefs go, I’m a solitary NeoPagan, and though I’m a hard polytheist, I don’t worship any of the ancient pantheons, per se, though I do acknowledge and respect them. I just don’t feel I know enough about them to justifiably do so. I’m a panentheistic dual-henotheist: basically, I worship a (the) Lord and Lady (as encompassing all aspects of life and the universe, within their own pantheon comprised of themselves). It’s kind of like the religious beliefs of Traditional British Wica/Witchcraft, except that the Gods that I worship aren’t drawn from any particular pantheon, I believe they are their own pantheon.
So that’s me, in a nutshell (help! I’m in a nutshell!). I hope you find my blog interesting, and leave a comment if you do!
